Birmingham, Al (WIAT)  Almost six years after Natalee Holloway disappeared on a school trip to Aruba there are still many more questions than answers.  But as that grim anniversary approaches, Natalee's case is taking center stage on the Lifetime Network.

"Justice for Natalee Holloway" will premiere on the network May 9...followed by a sneak peek at a new series, "Vanished with Beth Holloway."  The movie is a sequel that picks up Natalee's story years after her disappearance and includes the bizarre timing of prime suspect Joran van der Sloot's involvement in a murder case in Peru.

Van der Sloot, who was never charged by Aruban authorities, has spent the past eleven months in prison in Peru.  He's charged with the murder of a 21 year old Peruvian student he met at a poker tournament.  The body of Stephany Flores was found in van der Sloot's Lima hotel room five years to the day of Natalee's disappearance in Aruba.

While all that was unfolding, the FBI was working on an extortion case against van der Sloot after he asked for money in exchange for information about Natalee's fate.  He was subsequently indicted on wire fraud and extortion charges by a federal grand jury here in Birmingham.

The movie sequel will be followed by a preview of Beth Holloway's new reality show, "Vanished with Beth Holloway" which will focus on other missing person cases.
